What is Samabake Scramble? How to add character cards

Samabake Scramble (サマバケ！すくらんぶる) is an ILLGAMES title. The official genre is “3Dコミュニティ形成観察シミュレーター”. Release is 30 August 2024. It is on sale.

What is Samabake Scramble?

It is a 3D game set during summer vacation in a town, where you can step into or watch the residents’ relationships. The setting is also a seaside town.

Over the vacation, characters act on their own — part-time jobs, chatting with friends, hanging out. You watch them, or take control, and form a community. You might end up in a one-to-one romance or adored by everyone. The community also moves on where you do not see it.

Erotic communication makes the town more sensual. There are also 心の声 and 糸引く液体表現.

Character creation

There is extra data, 12 personalities (10 female, 2 male), clothing adjustments for 着やせ, and a new fusion feature. More than 100 data items were added versus the Honey Come series. Honey Come characters can be converted.

The personality list is 普通, 生意気, クール, ギャル, 健気, 妖艶, 純真無垢, 母性, 小悪魔, ヤンキー, 好青年, and 豪快. Male 好青年 and 豪快 are text-only. Accessories go up to 20, at any size and position. The title screen offers female and male creation. Male characters are made in almost the same way.

You can register up to 24 residents. The play manual splits that into 12 regular slots and 12 expanded slots. Expanding can affect performance.

Free extra data

The official site ships free extra costumes after release: サイバーセット, 小悪魔セット, マミーウルフセット, ガーデニングセット, ハッピーホリデーセット, バレンタインデーセット, and 牛柄コスプレセット. There is also バランス設定 for town settings, bulk character-card downloads by personality, and a localize patch. Get them from the official download page.

The uploader is a free extra. You can share created characters and towns (save data) online. There is the サマバケ！すくらんぶる アップローダー.

A program that reads Samabake Scramble data in DIGITAL CRAFT is listed from the Honey Come Dolce side. DIGITAL CRAFT VR can view scenes on a VR headset.

性格追加パック

サマバケ！すくらんぶる 性格追加パック is extra data for the base game. Release is 1 November 2024. The official genre is “３Ｄコミュニティ観察＆介入シミュレーター追加データ”. You need the base game. The official price is 2,480 yen including tax. Extra storage is 5 GB.

It adds eight personalities: 無口, お嬢様, のんびり, オタク, やんちゃ, 元気活発, 無邪気, and 飄々. 無邪気 and 飄々 are male and text-only.

性格追加セット

【本体+アペンド】サマバケ！すくらんぶる＆性格追加セット bundles the base game with the personality pack. Release is 1 November 2024. DLsite listed it at 11,280 yen including tax (checked 12 September 2026). It is for people starting now.

Digital sales

Official storefronts are ILLGAMES STORE, FANZA GAMES, DLsite, and Amazon.

ILLGAMES STORE, FANZA, and DLsite all listed it at 8,800 yen including tax (checked 11 September 2026). The FANZA work page uses tax-included prices. It is Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit). DLsite lists it as PlayDRM. FANZA’s OS line shows Windows 11. Official storage requirement is 25 GB.

The Steam edition has its own spec and is not compatible with the ILLGAMES edition. The Steam extra patch cannot be used with copies bought outside Steam.

Saving and loading character cards

Saving a character means photographing an image for the character card and one for in-game display. The card is stored under the install folder’s UserData, and you pick it from キャラ読込み in the system menu.

The folder and steps below follow the official play manual (default install C:\ILLGAMES\SamabakeScramble).

Where to save

The install folder contains UserData. Female cards go in UserData\chara\female, male cards in UserData\chara\male. Outfit sets go in the matching gender folder under UserData\coordinate.

Screenshots go in UserData\cap. The shortcut list is F2. Background images that load are PNG (16:9 recommended). Card frames are PNG, 504 px wide by 704 px tall, in UserData\cardframe Front and Back.

Saving and loading

To save, open キャラ保存と削除 in the system menu, choose 新規保存, then shoot after setting expression, pose, and frame. You need both the character-card shot and the in-game shot. Overwrite can change the picture or update the data only.

1. In the system menu, choose キャラ読込み.
2. Select the card in the list.
3. Choose which parts to import. You can take only some of the card.
4. Load. Unsaved edits are discarded.

衣装読込み loads outfits only. There is also 簡易融合 of two saved characters, 詳細融合 of the character being edited with another, and イメージで作成 from conditions.

Converting from Honey Come

Per the play manual, copy the chara folder from a Honey Come product’s UserData and paste it into Samabake Scramble’s UserData\convert. Conversion runs automatically when you launch the game. Then load the character in creation and save it new or overwrite. Outfits use the same steps with the coordinate folder.

Only cards made with Honey Come products can be converted. Converted cards can no longer be used in Honey Come. Convert a copy. Cards from before conversion are copied automatically to UserData\convert\complete. Cards created and saved in Samabake Scramble cannot be used in Honey Come.
